DNV income proof: when invoices are not enough
Three invoices and three deposits: a reviewer should see the match without investigating.
01

Contract proves source and terms

02

Invoice proves the amount billed

03

Statement proves actual receipt

A balance alone is not enough

For an independent professional, an invoice does not prove payment and a statement alone may not prove professional origin. A strong file links contracts, invoices and recurring receipts from permitted foreign activity.

Build a matching table

Use one row per invoice: client, number, date, currency, amount, receipt date, bank amount and statement page. References should identify the invoice or client. Add a payment-platform statement when it is the bridge.

When an original stamp matters

UGE’s current document list expressly requires a bank certificate covering the three months before filing, in the applicant’s name and «stamped/signed by the bank». It must evidence contract-derived income, match the invoices or payslips and have the relevant transactions expressly marked. This does not necessarily mean a physical ink stamp: the key is verifiable bank authentication—signature or stamp, account holder, account and period. For a digital bank, request a certificate with a verifiable electronic signature or another bank validation mechanism; an ordinary download or app screenshot is not enough on its own.

A mismatch can be explained

Fees, FX, grouped payments and group-company payers can create legitimate differences. Explain them with a calculation and intermediate record: invoice USD 3,000 → processor USD 3,000 → bank EUR 2,742.16.

The three-month package

Include contract, three consecutive invoices, full matching statements, account certificate, matching table, processor records and a short discrepancy note. Do not crop away owner, period or account identifiers.

Red flags

Unexplained third-party payer; round deposits without references; backdated invoices; excessive Spanish-client activity; income below threshold without savings; statement without owner; inconsistent numbering.
